Thousand Oaks Chili Cook-Off and Craft Brew Festival

What is the Chili Cook-Off?

Thousand Oaks is well-known for its annual Chili Cook-Off. In fact, this is the 43rd consecutive year the event will be hosted by the Thousand Oaks Rotary Club. That is nearly half a century we have been pitting chili masters against one another!  It all starts on May 5 in the legendary Conejo Creek Park. You’ll have 5 hours (12pm-5pm) to stuff your face with chili and craft beer.

Did I forget to mention the Craft Beer Festival?

The 2nd ever annual Craft Beer Festival takes place on the same grounds at the same time. This is arguably the best way to spend a Sunday. Are you concerned that 5 hours isn’t enough? Purchase a VIP pass to get an hour head start on everybody else. You may need the extra time to check out the assortment of over 40 chili tasting booths.

How could this get any better?

There are not many ways to do that. However, Thousand Oaks finds ways to do the impossible. The excellent lineup of live music only serves to enhance the already euphoric experience. You will be bobbing your head to Justin Honsinger, Highway Starr, and Cover 2 Cover. Over 15 food trucks and beverage booths will be on hand to keep you busy. Also, the Classic & Custom Car Show will be on site for any car buffs or anybody looking to break up the day with some fancy automobiles.
